Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008

On August 14, 2008 Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA). The CPSIA established a new set of safety requirements for consumer products, especially for toys and other children's products. This law requires manufacturers and importers of children's products to use CPSC approved independent labs to meet requirements for lowered levels of lead and phthalate. All manufactures and importers are required to provide certification that products subject to this law have been tested and are in compliance. This website contains all required certification information for Energizer products subject to the CPSIA.
